On Sunday morning we noticed connection issues from some ISPs. Our Data Center investigated and found an issue with one of their suppliers VirginMedia. Some clients may have received alerts from their hosting server referring to issues with their WordPress sites. These can be safely ignored. They were caused by an outage at wordpress.org which prevented access to the wordpress.org API. The API is used by our servers to check for WordPress updates etc.
5:22am We are currently experiencing a high load on our systems, we are working to resolve this. 5:36am We have located the issue. This was caused by 2 drives on the storage cluster causing a high IO wait time, but their state remained active rather than go into failed mode.
